The scan takes a long time / seems stuck. The first scan analyzes your entire photo library on the device, so its duration depends on the library size — large libraries (10,000+ items) can take a few minutes. Keep the App open and the device unlocked; subsequent scans are much faster because results are cached.
Where do deleted photos go? Can I get them back? The App deletes photos and videos only through the standard iOS deletion flow and only after your explicit confirmation. Deleted items go to the system album Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where they stay for up to 30 days and can be restored.
Why does the App need access to my photo library? Finding screenshots, duplicates, similar and blurry photos requires reading your library. All analysis happens on your device — photos and videos are never uploaded anywhere. You can manage access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
The freed-up space does not show in iPhone storage right away. iOS reclaims space from Recently Deleted gradually. To free the space immediately, open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted and delete the items there as well.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device? Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID, then open the paywall inside the App and tap Restore. If the subscription still does not appear, contact us by email.
How do I cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ClutterCut AI and tap Cancel Subscription, or use the Manage Subscription entry in the App’s settings. Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription.
How do I request a refund? Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and select the purchase.
